Welcome to my Guide to North Carolina. Like my ever-expanding Greece Travel Guides, this is a work
in progress, and still very much in its early stages; I'm adding to it on a weekly basis. I think you'll find it
a little more engaging than your typical guidebooks and web guides. It's very much anecdotal in nature - largely
based on my own first-hand experiences - and not intended to be an exhaustive overview of the state in general
or of cities, towns and/or attractions in particular. What you'll primarily find in my guide are descriptions of
places I've genuinely enjoyed visiting, and some others not so much. If what you're looking for isn't yet covered,
it very possibly will be in the near future. Come back and visit soon.
In the meantime, explore what's here. Inasmuch as I'm a musician, you'll find an extensive personal essay on the
history of music in the Chapel Hill-Raleigh-Durham area, circa 1980-present. Similar essays on a variety of topics
(sports, wines, off-the-beaten-path attractions and much more) will progressively shape this site as a unique and
very practical guide to the state of North Carolina. I hope you enjoy it. Don't hesitate to e-mail me with comments
or suggestions. If you would like to contribute to this guide please let me
know.
