This is a list of hotels in the Chapel Hill area listed in the order that I would stay at if my house was destroyed and I needed somewhere to live for awhile. Some of the descriptions I got from the hotels websites but they should not care since they are getting free advertising. I have listed them in the order of practicality which to me means how close it is to Franklin Street, and comfort, and not so much by price since different hotels have different rooms with different prices at different times. The Carolina Inn
